What's the difference between Junior ice hockey skates and the senior ice hockey skates?

Junior skate are for younger kids and are smaller in size, and generally weigh less. Senior skates are for older people and are bigger, and weigh more. there is no difference in how the skates are built though for each model.

What is the difference between junior ice hockey skates and senior ice hockey skates?

Other than the obvious. Size. Junior skates won't take the wear and tear of a Senior pair. Therefore if the player has any potential at all don't buy them a used pair if you can afford the good ones. Unless you can latch on to a pair from "my kid's gonna make it" and get a pair that haven't been beat to Sh!t in one year.

Should I get junior ice skates or senior ice skates?

I'm wanting to playing hockey, and I don't know the difference between junior skates and senior skates. I'm 17 and wear a size 9.5-10.5 shoe. Which ones should I get?

You won't fit into junior skates...you probably need size 8.5 or 9 and that is senior skates (more bucks!). Juniors go up to size 6, or so.

First time Junior Ice Hockey, Help!?!?!?

I went Ice Skating on Friday, and had a private lesson, afterwards someone came up to me and asked me if I wanted to join the local Junior Ice Hockey team, and she spoke to my parents etc. The thing is though I'm reli up for it, but I'm Worried, that I'll muck up or that I'm not good enough. Can I have some suggestions for calming my nerves, and for how I can play a better a game?

Thanks Naomi

i would say if someone asked you to join you must have some natural ability so thats a good first step. just go out there and have fun, don't try to do to much, do what you can. hockey is fun keep it that way don't let it stress you.

  • St. Louis Bandits Provide Championship Hockey for Cheap

As a guy who loves the Blues, I know that nothing compares to being in the arena watching professional hockey players skate. But games can get pretty expensive at times, especially for weekend games. Sometimes you just want to see great hockey but don’t have the green to do so.

Little do many St. Louisans know, there is a championship hockey team in Chesterfield that has a recent winning streak and tradition of success that you can see for less money than the money you might pay for gas to get there. The St. Louis Bandits hockey club has been on the ice in Chesterfield’s Hardee’s Iceplex for the past four seasons, leading the NAHL (North American Hockey League) in points (278) and championships over that time period. They have won the NAHL Championship three times in St. Louis (2007, 2008, and 2009). They finished fifth last season after a strong 44-11-3 (91 points) campaign, and they are currently in first place in the NAHL.
