Junior Hockey Skates

Junior skate are for younger kids and are smaller in size, and generally weigh less. Senior skates are for older people and are bigger, and weigh more. there is no difference in how the skates are built though for each model.

Other than the obvious. Size. Junior skates won't take the wear and tear of a Senior pair. Therefore if the player has any potential at all don't buy them a used pair if you can afford the good ones. Unless you can latch on to a pair from "my kid's gonna make it" and get a pair that haven't been beat to Sh!t in one year.

I'm buying a new pair of hockey roller blades, and there's senior and junior blades. But what is the difference because in the junior it says it goes up to size 14 but in senior it says the same thing, so is there any other difference than size?

No difference other than size.

im planning on buying new hockey skates because my old skates dont fit. when i looked in the weekly flyer, i see theres youth, junior and senior. i wear a size 8US so which category do i fit in and which size do i buy in hockey skate size? i plan on buying ccm or bauer.

Junior means size from 1 to 5. Since you're 8 in shoes, you will fit in Senior. For skates it's usually your shoe size minus one so you'll probably need a 7. But it can be different from a brand to another so if possible make sure you can try it on before buying.

shouldn't you get soft skates instead? hmm riedell have them too i think... and a lot less expensive..
