i have an old pair of ccm vector 3.0s and i need new skates. what should i get? i found a pair of mission fuel 120 Ag and 120 XPs for $250, and thats as high as i want to go price wise. Should i get something else? and if i should get missions, i have a wide foot and wear a size 12 street shoe, what size mission skate should i get?
usually Mission fits pretty close to shoe size, unlike CCM and Bauer ..

All brands will depend on the model, but I've found most Missions to be very comfortable and durable. In my experience, a Mission feels better and holds up better than a comparable price-point Bauer or CCM. Although once you get up into really high end skates, there's not a HUGE difference.

Any one out there tried the Easton Stealth S9 Senior Ice Hockey Skates? Could be a long shot but figured I'd try here. I play every week, am 23, and have been playing since I was a kid. Last time I bought skates was about 9 years ago but they are missions and I just broke a blade. Since mission in out of business cannot get new blades to fix what is a awesome pair of skates.
The fit will be a little different going from a Mission skate to an Easton skate. The heel will be similar in width but the toe box is going to be a little wider on the Easton skate. As the S9 has an original price of $199.99 it will be fairly supportive and come with a stainless steel blade which is nice. If you are only skating one day a week this would most likely be sufficient for your needs, if you are skating multiple days a week you may want to jump to the the S12 as it is a stiffer skate and would not only be a little more performance driven but also would last you for a few more years.

I'm looking for opinions on the best women's Ice hockey gear? Mainly skates. I see a few bands selling women's specific skates like Nike Bauer, CCM, Mission, K2, Kor ranging anywhere from 50$-300$. Does anyone know who makes a quality skate? What features should I look for ? I'm looking for midrange gear at a reasonable price. I'm a beginner at hockey, but I know how to skate.
I know TPS makes protective equipment specifically cut for women.
Skates...every foot is different. It's about which brand fits your foot the best. CCM/RBK, Bauer/Nike, Graf, Mission, and even Easton make quality skates. To say "X" brand is the best is folly; it's what brand fits your foot the best, is comfortable, and is (in your mind) good value.
In the $150-$250 range you should have no problem finding something
good.
Aside from fit...the weight of the skate (lighter will be more expensive), materials (you want a quick-dry inner liner, a lace bite protection, and ideally toe protection), the stiffness of the boot, the blade holder can all impact price. Just make sure you try them on (at worst, try on a pair at a local rink and then order online if it's cheaper), and bring the same socks you'll wear with you.
Good luck!
