how can I heat mold my new Easton hockey skates at home?
4th stick from the left - this is creepy

The skates are heat-moldable, usually in a special oven where you buy the skates. My retailer has no such oven. I want to know if there is a procedure for doing the molding using my own oven at home.

Probably a bad idea. Call around to different hockey shops. One will have the oven.

They'll have a different rocker and such, you'll have to get used to how they feel. Once you get the feel for them they'll be fine.

Any one know anything about the easton 1500C hockey skates?
Clark Gillies

Recently, on hockeymonkey.com, the price of the Easton Synergy 1500C skates have dropped to 300 bucks. Being the cheap bastard I am, do any of you guys know a place that sells the senior skates cheaper or do you forsee an even bigger price drop?

That would be incredibly cheap for them. And no, I doubt you'll find them cheaper except for possible some other place online.

And don't listen to the idiot below me, the 1500C is a great skate, It's eastons old top end skate. Their current top end skate is the S15, which If I recall correctly is also the most expensive on the market.

am I the only kid who supports easton hockey skates?

Like the first answer said, they have a very specific fit. If your foot doesn't fit the mold, then they are not going to be comfortable at all. If you do, then they will be great. The skates themselves are good for the most part. The s17 is a good, light skate, but wears quicker than Bauers. I assume you have an Easton-Shaped foot, in which case you would love their skates.

How good are Easton Stealth S9 Senior Ice Hockey Skates?
Pat LaFontaine and Benoit Hogue

Any one out there tried the Easton Stealth S9 Senior Ice Hockey Skates? Could be a long shot but figured I'd try here. I play every week, am 23, and have been playing since I was a kid. Last time I bought skates was about 9 years ago but they are missions and I just broke a blade. Since mission in out of business cannot get new blades to fix what is a awesome pair of skates.

The fit will be a little different going from a Mission skate to an Easton skate. The heel will be similar in width but the toe box is going to be a little wider on the Easton skate. As the S9 has an original price of $199.99 it will be fairly supportive and come with a stainless steel blade which is nice. If you are only skating one day a week this would most likely be sufficient for your needs, if you are skating multiple days a week you may want to jump to the the S12 as it is a stiffer skate and would not only be a little more performance driven but also would last you for a few more years.
