Does anyone know the closest easton hockey blade curve to shanahan?
20100120 Easton Stealth S15 junior hockey blade - focus flex

Easton does not make Shanahan curve anymore so im looking for the closest one to that...preferably an easton one as i like their one piece sticks...

It looks like the closest is gonna be a Bauer :the Gange blade is again a defensive square toe blade. This one has a rather sweeping mid curve and minimal amounts of loft. Think Shanahan here and you have the closest Easton blade. But you know they have some shanahan replacement blades on ebay right now...for like ten bucks...good luck!!

what is the best easton hockey blade for a wrist shot?
Bauer Vapor XXXX Wood

What are you looking for in a wrist shot?
Accuracy and control? Top shelf fast? Bit of both?

Forsberg has a slight curve, with a closed face, best for accuray, but will be harder to get the puck up.
Sakic has a deep curve, open face, best for getting the puck up quickly, but you lose some control.
Iginla has a medium curve, slightly closed face, somewhere in the middle of the Forsberg and Sakic.

How do I replacea loose blade in an Octane easton hockey stick.?
20090215 Hockey skates + protective gear

Here are the specs:

Octane, With ABS
Performance pultrusion
Carbon/Glass construction
50 Flex

How do I get a loose blade out? Can I stick it in an oven part way or over open flame? Do I really need to go out and buy a heat gun? Please help!

bring it to the rink or pro shop where you got it, they should have a heat gun / paint stripper to take the blade out. which might still be good but just needs more glue on the hosel, then have them put the blade back in. if it's broken either get a new blade for it, or better yet, invest in a better quality one. no offence but that stick blows like a puckbunny. most graphite sticks are better performance and lighter than wood but a comp of that quality ..

ryan I am discouraging them to use a torch because that's gonna burn the carbon, then they would have to cut it off some and get an extention and re-tape the stick ..

Can I put a new blade on an Easton S11 hockey stick?
20100225 Easton Synergy ST jr hockey blade

I picked up a Easton S11 from the rink today and it has a blade that has broken right at the heel of the stick. If I cut the shaft and dig out the insert, will I be able to fit a tapered blade into the shaft and salvage it?

Depends on if it's a tapered shaft or not (which I don't know because I haven't used that model) if it IS a tapered shaft, you SHOULD be able to fit a tapered blade in it.
If it isn't, try and put a standard fit blade on the opposite side, but do know that it's gonna affect the kickpoint and overall flex though.

Are Easton Stealth S15 Hockey Blades durable?
20100225 Easton Synergy ST jr hockey blade - Iginla P7

Are the Easton Stealth S15 Hockey Blades durable? I play inline hockey and was wondering if they last a long time. Last Easton blade I got was made for ice...it broke in a month.

Depends on the surface. On ice / sport court a composite blade should last you longer than wood; if you're playing on concrete / asphalt you really should use ABS.

  • : Hockey Now Gear Review: Easton EQ50 Stick

The Easton EQ50 Stick (left, 85 flex, Zetterberg curve) immediately draws attention to itself because of the uniqueness of the Focus Weight Technology in the blade. The 15-gram weight embedded in the heel of the blade “redistributes weight to the impact area to control hard passes and keep the puck on your blade.”  The customizable weighted end cap made the stick feel less like a hollow, can-break-anytime, usual one-piece stick and more like a strong, sturdy (but still ultra-light) balanced piece of material. You don’t get that overly-light feeling in the top-half of the stick. As Easton says, “Weight at the end of the stick counter balances the...
