No they are both good but the nike are better, dont waste your money on a pair of skates that are just as good.

Also, what size would I be, I am a women's size 9. I am thinking about switching over to hockey skates because they just seem easier and cooler. :]
i used to be a figure skater for ten years and switched over to hockey skates just this year because i decided to try hockey,
after figure skates i found hockey skates a lot easier, once you get used to not having toepicks, you feel so much freer and can skate so much faster. that's just my opinion tho.
Oh and you would probably be anywhere from 1 size to 3 sizes smaller.
Good luck!
Whats the difference between a 500$ pair of hockey skates compared to maybe a 100$ pair? They seem the same to me so i ws wonderin what makes them so much more expensice
about 400 dollars
I recently bought Mission BSX skates in a size 8E online. No shops had the Mission BSX skates in a size 8D so I had to buy the 8E's. Is the E width that much different from D and will I hurt my ankle or have wider feet due to the extra space in E widths?
Every skate manufacturer cuts their skates different. The difference in width shouldn't be too bad, you might actually find that they fit better than D width skates. When you get them, IN YOUR HOUSE, try the skates on and lace them up. Do NOT go outside with them! If you do and the wheels show signs of use, you won't have the option of returning them.
If you feel your foot sliding around at all, try putting them on with a second pair of socks. I don't usually recommend this because a second pair of socks will cause one more layer to cause friction, and friction causes blisters. (This is going to sound stupid, but socks come in sizes too, so making sure you have socks that fit will help cut down on any chance of blisters.)
If it's only the ankle that is loose, you can buy ankle pads to put inside the skate. Don't just tape the ankle. If you do that, then you're going to break the boot in weird and I guarantee that not only will the boot break down quicker than it should, and it will also cause problems with your skating. Depending on your age, could even cause problems with your feet if you are still growing.
Remember - Skates are supposed to fit snug. Not loose, not tight...snug. If they don't fit right, return them. Your feet will thank you, you'll skate better, and your skates will last longer if they fit right. It's better to return the skates and get a different brand / model that might not be as cool but fit right.
My Boyfriend plays icehockey on a team, nothing to serious just for fun. His birthday is tomorrow and he asked for new skates. I heard Nike Bauer vapor XVI is a good skate but since he is tall(6'3") he should go with Nike Bauer Supreme 50(I think it was called). I bought these but I'm not too sure if it was a good buy. How do these 2 skates compare? If anyone has any input I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Supreme = wider in the forefoot area
Vapors = more traditional width skate.
How to Find the Best Hockey Skates
The most important piece of gear you can own when it comes to playing hockey are the skates you put on your feet. The wrong ones can prevent you from covering enough ground with speed or agility while the right skates will allow you to play at your ultimate best. The shape of your feet, size, experience level and budget you are looking to stay in are only a few of the considerations for choosing a pair of skates. The following information contains tips for finding skates best for you hockey experience.
Goalies perform an important and unique function in hockey, and they require special equipment, including their hockey skates. The skates worn by goalies have longer and flatter blades than those worn by other players. Goalies have to be able to move very quickly in any direction to block hockey shots. The skates are also shorter, and are made to protect the goalie from incoming hockey pucks, which can be very dangerous when flying at rapid speeds. For this reason, a goalie must buy skates that are designed to do the things goalies alone must do.
