I have the CCM vector v10 stick. First of all, can i even replace the blade on this stick? And if I can what replacement blade do I need (i want to avoid ordering online but can if thats the only option)
It says it has a longer 24 inch taper for easy shaft loading if that helps
Stick is called CCM Vector V10 Grip OPS Hockey Stick Ovechkin Pattern
thanks
If the stick is a one-piece, then try putting a blade in the end of the stick. (At the handle). If you can fit a blade in there, then go ahead and cut the regular blade off, then tape that end up, and you have a stick.

I was wondering if a CCM 10 tapered blade would fit into a Bauer X:60 tapered shaft? do CCM tapered blades only CCM tapered shafts, or would they fit bauer too?
Thanks, Best answer gets 5 stars.
Thanks so far boys. I was also wondering what shaft you think would be the best, becuase i was looking at the one95 and the warrior dolo...what do you think?
I've used standard blades from one company on another's shaft, i.e. Easton on a CCM, Koho on an Easton .. probably best to contact a retailer rather than the company itself. Since both the shaft+blade you want to use are tapered I don't see why it wouldn't work
This is for my roller hockey stick, i have trouble taking a slap shot with some of my roller hockey blades, any others besides the ccm heat and crossover?
There is WAY too much to consider when selecting a replacement blade. It all depends on how well you know what blade is best for you and of course, how much you're willing to spend. schoolyardpuck.com has an excelent discription of all the things you need to consider when selecting a blade. This would include the blade's depth and type of curve, how open the face is, the lie, if you need it regular or tapered, senior or junior, and many other factors. However, for slap shots I would generally suggest focusing on the curve depth and type, the face of the blade, and the lie. Honestly your best bet is going to that site and figuring out what works best for you. I commented on the post for the website letting people know what works best for me. Personally I prefer a closed face, deep, mid curve (you may want it to curve at the toe), high lie, long, square toe, and not rockered.
To be honest, I'm kind of cheap, so I just find whatever replacement blade that I can and deal with it until I have to replace it. I found some really good deals on hockeyworld.com If you are a lefty you can pick replacement blades up for like 3 BUCKS!
Once you find the replacement blade you are looking for you can look on websites like hockey giant and hockey monkey to find the player that uses your ideal blade. To be honest you're looking and spending a minimum of 25 or 30 bucks.
Another thing you might want to consider if you are playing on the street is an abs blade. Cosom makes a great one that goes in the shaft like any other replacement blade.
All of the links I mentioned are below. Have fun!!!
I play floor hockey. I am more of a tall physical player, likes a long reach. I play in front of the net so I need a blade that will allow me to elevate the puck on forehand and backhand. Also, I take a lot of wrist shots, few slap shots and I need to be accurate more than hard with the shots. I have good precision passing so I need a blade that will let me utilize that skill.
I have two choices for my CCM stick: Ovechkin blade or Thornton blade.
Ovechkin has a heel curve, 10 mm depth, open wedge face angle and a round toe shape.
Thornton has a mid-heel curve, 19 mm depth, closed face angle and a square toe shape.
Which is better for an accurate shooter and passer who needs to utilize both sides of the stick and elevate the puck from in close?
Ive had the Thornton blade recently, and it has A LOT of curve.
but for whatever reason its good for back hands too. i would strongly reccomend it base on your description of needs.
ive seen the ovechkin blade but never used it so i cant really speak for it.....
It's a CCM Vector, I'm looking to turn it into a shaft now that the blade is wearing thin.
cut the blade off high enough that you are left with just the straight shaft. flip it upside down and glue the blade into the former butt end and tape a knob on the former blade end. the blade end of composite sticks taper and will not accomodate a replacement blade...they want you to buy a new stick but you don't have to.

CCM Ice Stakes: Great for Ice Hockey?
On the ice rink, the boot determines how an individual moves. It is also important in the sport of ice hockey. Because the game play is very quick and sometimes long, the players must feel very comfortable in their ice skate boots to be able to play effectively. There are some companies that specialize in making ice hockey skate boots. These companies offer a unique feature system that includes innovative features designed for these types of ice skates.
CCM ice skates are made with some of these innovative features and are an easy choice for any ice hockey player. The CCM ice skate boots are made to last longer; several types also include the company’s unique F-I-T system which creates custom fit ice skates while others offer ankle pads and comfortable foot beds. By design, all ice hockey skates are made different to those used in figure and recreational ice skating. The momentum of ice hockey is such that players need to constantly be on the move and making quick halts and stops, so this needs a specific design. With ice hockey as well, ice skates can wear quickly sometimes within a season. This is due in part to the materials used to make the ice skates but also to the amount of time; players spend skating across an ice rink.
