Broken Hockey Blade

Answers

How do I put a blade on a broken composite hockey stick?

I've heard that if a composite (one piece) hockey stick breaks low enough, you can put a blade (that are normally for seperate shaft and blade combos) on with no hassle. How do I do it? Do I just cut it off and sand the blade down? or is there some kind of adapter?

I have done this many times and sometimes it can be challenging. First off you need to cut the broken part off. If its a one piece then the shaft will most likely be getting skinnier towards where the blade is. You probably wont be able to fit a regular blade in there unless you shave it down which takes too long. I would suggest just putting the blade in the top of the stick then flipping it around and make a butt end where the blade used to be.

How do you hollow out the part of a hockey shaft where a broken blade was?

I just go a pro stock 11k and it was a one piece and the blade is gone how do I hollow out the fuse point?

cut it with a saw where the stick is just as wide as the butt end or you might just want to flip the stick so the blade is where you usually have the plug

How do you pull out a broke hockey blade from a shaft?

i bought a shaft and thee guy gave me a 2nd shaft but the shaft he gave me had a wooden shaft before and inside the shaft was part of it.

How do they get that out, from inside the shaft?
or what could I do?

Insert a heat gun / paint stripper into the wall (either 2 or 3 prong outlet) and carefully heat up the shaft at the tip.

The heat gun I use, which I got at Ace for $20 on sale, has both a high + low setting.
I recommend high for aluminum shafts, low for carbonfire. (graphite, kevlar, titanium) Rotate shaft about 30 seconds to a minute at a time. While checking and trying to remove blade, be sure and turn heat gun off. Eventually the blade should come out.

When putting a new blade in, be sure and put some stick glue on the hosel before putting it in the shaft, but heat up the shaft a bit first.

Also make sure that shaft is a standard fit and ditto the blade, or tapered shaft and ditto the blade. If not it won't fit properly and can break faster than it should, not to mention have a negative impact on performance.

Putting a one95 hockey blade in a broken one piece stick.?

I broke my one95 one piece stick right at the tip of the blade and i was wondering if it would be best to cut the blade off and put a tappered blade in its place or flip it and go that way??

i've done it. it's not the same... the way that the original stick is made gives you a certain performance.
when you use a blade at the end you don't get that - it feels weird and the stick usually cracks;
but you might as well try it so you know how it is.
worst case scenario you can just use it for on the outdoor rink.

Important Facts to Consider When Buying Hockey Equipment

When it comes to the great game of hockey, choosing the right equipment for the sake of safety is one vitally important consideration. Whether you are the one who has health and safety concerns on the ice or it’s someone you love, there is no substitute for purchasing equipment that is as comfortable as it is effective in providing protective covering. In this article, we’ll be exploring some of the main factors to consider when shopping for hockey equipment.

The skates you purchase may very well be your most important purchase when it comes to buying hockey equipment. Just as shoes are critical for basketball players and track stars, skates are crucial pieces of equipment in the sport of hockey. Your skates ought to be one and a half sizes smaller than the shoes you wear if you want them to fit properly. It’s important to be comfortable but you should reserve judgment about the fit of the skates until they’ve been broken in. You shouldn’t wear new skates to a game until after you’ve broken them in during a few practice sessions.
