We are a new Pee Wee A team seeking sponsorship from a leading Hockey Equipment company.
It is very difficult to get a sponsorship from the leading companies, they typically find you, you don't find them. A lot of the smaller companies will over great discounts on team rates, I manage and play for a Mens travel inline hockey team and we ended up hitting up a wheel company for a sponsorship. Labeda is our sponsor they offer each player one free set of wheels per year and incredible discounts on wheels when we need to buy a set, roughly 30% off wholesale. I know you are an ice hockey team and a wheel sponsorship doesn't really help you but there are a lot of smaller hockey companies that may be able to work out a discount program with you i.e. Kynetic or Brooklynite.
If you are looking for cash donations your best bet would be local businesses in the area compared to the big name hockey companies like Bauer and Easton. Bowling fundraisers, Golf fundraisers, Texax hold-em tournaments, 50/50 raffles and prize raffles are also good ways to try and add some cash to the teams expense account. We actually recently had a Dodge Ball fundraiser last week that may have been our most successful outing to date.
I hope this information helps! Good luck this season!

Roller Hockey
my friend plays hockey, and it depends on what kind you're doing
roller is much cheaper then ice.
The tuition to participate in ice alone is 1200, while roller is 250.
Price: $29.99

I play hockey and I'm studying abroad in Taipei, Taiwan (at NTU). I was looking to teach hockey there since I coach youth hockey here, but I'm under the impression that skating is just hitting Taiwan. Also, it has always been a life goal of mine to go caged diving with Great White sharks. I know this kind of thing is offered in parts of Africa and Australia, but what about Taiwan?
Your best bet is to go to Australia to play with sharks, jocko... Great Whites aren't around here. Other, smaller ones are. There may be some whale/dolphin pod watching tours out east in Hualien and Ilan or Taidong. Taiwanese in general are not normally shark petting extreme sports types, except for a few mountain men in mountain sports, or extreme bikers. If you get yourself a boat you can try and be the first one!
You can find some other ex-pats informally playing street hockey, check forumosa.com to see when they are playing. Roller hockey may eventually have enough people playing it to get organized teams into it.
I would check with forumosa, com about the costs of hockey equipment in Taiwan. It probably is possible to deck yourself out with street hockey/roller hockey gear but I would suspect it is more expensive than out in Canada.
There are basically no ice rinks in Taiwan outside of Taipei, I have heard rumours of one still operating up in Taipei, but I don't live there, it sounds like you already know where it is. Perhaps Kaosiung still has one?? The one in Taichung closed in 2002 or 2003, and nothing has replaced it to my knowledge.
If you are looking for extreme sports out here, there is whitewater rafting, kiteboarding clubs, bike touring clubs, windsurfing clubs, paragliding... forumosa should have some links there... check the compass.com as well in the past they did some highlight issues on those all. Triatholons are also around. Golfing is possible if you like blowing large amounts of cash.
I tend to stick to my bodyboarding and hiking, with some light bicycling and running. And scooting.
Hi. My daughter is starting ice hockey classes in three weeks and if all goes well she will get onto a team next season so i am in search of gear.
I have been trying to find her pink gear but I am having a hard time finding anything. I know there is pink gear for other sports so I figured there should be something for ice hockey as well other then tape and laces. Does any one know of a online store that sells pink gear?
If not pink, does anyone know of decent stores that sell small youth gloves and pants? I would like to get BAUER so her gear will match her brother's as much as possible but if I can find it in pink I would go with another brand.
Thanks.
she's going to be on a coed team, more then likely the only girl but pink is her thing. I already have the gear for both my boys and i have asked at the sport shops but nodda.
I've seen pink gear before so I know its out there some where lol
at our arena for the mites and mini mite teams the only part of the uniform that needs to match are the jersey's. There are pink pants, elbow pads and gloves, I have seen them. She likes pink so thats what I'm going to try and find.
Try hockeygiant.com. hockeymonkey.com is good too but I like hockeygiant better.
Ok im 12 years old and i am looking for a beginner roller hockey league to play in. It can even just be pickup hockey once a week. I have never played on a team. I will play any forward position although i prefer right wing. i have all my equipment. we have a league near my house but they are state champions so im not at there level. i just want to play so if you have any beginner leagues just let me know. thnx
If you have a team like that near your house, surely there is a rink nearby as well. Most rinks (roller AND ice, actually) offer programs for players of all levels, from leagues to pick-up hockey. Some will go further and offer one-on-one training or group skill development classes.
So the best advice is to look at roller rinks around your town and see what options are available! Most rinks will undoubtedly have some pick-up sessions at the least.
Actually, some larger parks in various communities may have well-equipped rinks and such and the opportunity for some pick-up games will be there as well.

Hockey Gear deals are all over the internet. If you play hockey then you already knew that. Why will need to you be on the look out for these types of combos? At the time of the vacation season, you can find too quite a few of them. People may well have a hard time understanding no matter whether or not the advert they are seeing actually is a good deal for their sports equipment. Plus, you generally would like to support those that might be buying you a gift. I'm sure that in the event you play roller hockey then you already know all the on the net hockey stores out there, so I'll skip over that topic and cut straight to the chase.
Ice hockey is amongst probably the most favored sports inside the United States for amateur players and that is the excellent reason why hockey tickets are usually sold out like the leafs tickets. There are a lot more than 500,000 players registered. Injuries in hockey are frequent and practically envisioned; on the other hand, a excellent deal of the injuries that take place might be prevented.
