World Jr Hockey

I know Seguin and Hall (although hall missed summer try outs) but who could have helped Canada win, and was not sent down to play? I mean NHL players..

There were 6 players eligible that were not released by their teams (for any number of reasons)
Matthew Duchene
Evander Kane
Taylor Hall
Ryan O'Reilly
Tyler Seguin (he'll still be eligible next year as well)
Jeffrey Skinner (he'll still be eligible next year as well)


Bobby - Matt's one of the 6 (top of the list - and only qualified by 9 days). I can think of others like Brandon Pirri, but he only played 1 NHL game this year so it's not an issue that his team (Chicago - the greatest team on earth) wouldn't release him.

The hockey rivalry continues as both teams played wonderful hockey. Kudos to the players and to the excellent coaching staff. Luv it! Good job-Pat Quinn.

It sure was, Tavares looked great once again. This game was very entertaining. Tokarski made a killer save, has to be in the tops of 2008.

If you can't get through on that link try this and click http://www.worldjuniors2008.com/ visitors and then on the little drop down menu click tickets - the prices are in Czech Crowns but if you type into any good search engine "(amount) Czech crowns into GBP or USD" it should give you a conversion rate - this will just be rough as alot of websites take different sources for there conversion rate.

Every time i see team canada highlights(World Jr, National team, Olympics, etc) I see Canada wearing a red, white and black uniform. The last time i checked the Canadian flag is red and white. Is this just an attempt at having "trendy" uniforms? Please elaborate on this for me.

It is merely aesthetics, but that doesn't mean it's trendy. An all-red uniform is a bit much, so having black (a neutral colour) is a good way to set that off. The black trim on the red shirts matches the pants. What would look silly is some other colour on the uniform, but black being neutral, it doesn't take away from wearing red and white.
