I'm getting some street hockey goalie gear so I can play with some of my buddies, anyway I play baseball and im left handed so I catch with my right hand but in hockey I hold the stick in my right hand so i'm not sure if I should get right hand stick or right hand glove?
Go with a right-handed glove. You'll actually be able to pass the puck faster based on your stick already facing outwards. You're lucky because most guys who played baseball are in an awkward position as goaltender. For instance I catch left-handed in baseball, and therefore hockey but shoot right handed in hockey. It's awkward if you can visualize it.

I'm trying to buy some street hockey goalie gear so I can play with my friends. I found what I believe is the right size equipment but I have never bought hockey gear so I am not sure. I am 6'4'' and 230lb. The deal that I was thinking of purchasing is on this link.

I am not sure if these sizes will work so that is what I am trying to ask.
Almost everything should be the right size but I think the pads will be way too small for someone that tall. Personally, I'm about 5'5 and I use 32' pads that are about 2-3 inches under my hips. For street hockey, it's not a big deal, most times, it's a matter of preference. But I believe the size is too small, and consequently your knees are exposed to potential and serious injuries. I know sizing doesn't depends only on the height, because some people have shorter or longer legs. But considering your size only, starting with 34' or 36' pads would be recommended.
If you really want to know how they would look of you, you can use a mesuring tape and start from the middle of your ankle, to the size. It should cover your knee, and reach at least between you middle thigh and your knee cap. Pads normally reach the middle thigh or higher depending on what you like.

Is there any difference between roller/street hockey goalie gear and ice hockey goalie gear? If so...what is the difference?
i havent actually bought any pads yet. Looking to start playing goalie in a beginner league. I am currently skating in that league now, but i am going up to the next level soon.
Padding, Materials, Protection .. some high-end ROLLER gear you MIGHT be able to use in entry-level ice, but even that's "pushing it". What gear do you have, so I can tell you what you can and what you can't use on frozen water.

ive been playing street hockey now for a while as a goalie and my equipment, kinda smells ahah
how can i wash it and not ruin the material?!
fill your bathtub with water and put about a cup of bleach for every gallon of water. your gear will probably float, so submerge it and put something on top of it. after 2 or 3 hours, take it out and set it on towels to air dry. the gear will be clean and free of odor-causing bacteria.
My 6yr old has been playing for a year and wants to try being goaling in his spring league. I'm having trouble finding anything except street hockey gear this time of year. What's the difference, and is there any reason I can't set him up in the street-goalie pads?
street hockey goalie pads usually have some plastic on them so they don't rip. where as ice hockey are just leather and much lighter. Ice hockey pads provide more protection but at his age that doesn't really matter. if he's only 6 get used pads he'll out grow them quickly and might not even like goalie so there's no point in buying him expensive new ones. I recommend play it again sports it's a great place to buy used gear.
