Hi, I was wondering if the Reebok 5k skates are worth the money ($250) and are comfortable as well as durable? What would you say is the all around quality? Thanks
If you are not familiar with these skates, what would you say is the best skate on the market?
well i would say yes, bacause i use the 8k's and love them, VERY comfertable!, but also the is a guy on my team that has the 5k pumps and said he wouldnt trade em for any other skate. Also i will say i dont realy like rbk except the skates id say its their best product
A guide through some of the rbk equitment including golie stuff.
What do you think about it?
The skates are great, as are the protective (Jofa design branded RBK). The gloves and pants are of good quality, but I personally think there are nicer options available.
There's no 9K helmet, but the 8K is innovative, comfortable and light. The 9k "O" stick, on the other hand, is a gimicky concept that doesn't come anywhere close to performing up to its asking price. There are many better performers out there for less money.
I already asked this question before but I've changed the equipment a bit.
- RBK 5K equipment set: $119.98
5K shoulder pads
5K elbow pads
and
5K shin guards
-RBK 5K hockey pants: $64.99
-RBK 6K hockey helmet '09 edition: $97.99
-RBK 852 pro stock hockey gloves (buffalo): $119.98
-RBK 5K white hockey skates '07 edition: $169.98
-RBK smartmouth custom mouthguard (senior, strapped): $29.99
Everything is from
http://www.hockeymonkey.com/
except for the RBK helmet and the RBK mouthguard that are from
http://icewarehouse.com/
I have about $725 canadian $ (the equipment is in American $)
Should I buy it please tell me why or why not thanks.
P.S. this will be my first year of play I'm almost 13 years old, do not know what position I will play in house league (forward or defence) but my mom want's to make sure I do not hurt my self.
I'm a girl!
I already have 3 sticks an Easton synergy elite, a ccm V06 and a RBK 6K pro feel all with grip except for the ccm V06.
I think that you should try the gear on at a local shop before buying online, to make sure it fits and has the quality that will last.
If your local shop has all the gear that you're looking for, try it all on together to make sure that the equipment fits you well.

Hello,
I'd like to know what is the average weight of a hockey equipment, which includes:
shoulder pads
shin pads
elbow pads
ice hockey pants
and helmet.
It would be great help if You could answer! (a per item weight would be even better!)
Thanks for helping!
If you'd like to, you should write down the brand and the serie of them (for e.g: RBK 6k.).
Thank you so much!
well, thanks but the point is, all I need is just those equipments weight.
thanks for further answers!
although i thought about 10 pounds... so is this possible? is it too much?
gloves 1lbs
helmet 2-3 lbs
shouldder 1-2 lbs
elbows. >1 lbs
shins 1-2 lbs
shorts 3-6 lbs
stick with blade 1-2 lbs
10 on the low side 17 on the high side
I found some 6k turco break sr leg pads for $200 on thehockeyshop.com. What size should i be? (Im 5'8 and need space to grow in. I think im a 34+1). Im only playing one day a week i think. Are the catcher ($100), blocker($60), and chest Protector ($160) good?
33+1 or 34+1 would be a good size. I'm 5'10 and wear 35+1 Vaughn Velocity 3 7500s. If your skating once a week than this is a good deal, because I wouldn't buy rbk 6ks unless I was playing house and skating 2-3 times a week. They will wear out too fast and won't last a full season if you play competitively and are skating 4-6 times a week. But since your not I think you should get them. They are real cheap to, my pads cost $1400, getting a pair for $200 is a steal. Get the whole set, the pads are the same as the rest of the gear, if you don't skate that often, they will last. Buy Them.
