I'm not from Nashville or Tennessee in general; but I would like to know if Joel Ward, a black Canadian playing for the Predators, has done community outreach. Dustin Byfuglien has done it here in Chicago with the NHL outreach program Hockey Is For Everyone, which is a program to get ethnic minorities interested about ice hockey.

Craig Leipold was recruited from a handful of prospective owners-to-be by the Nashville based group Gaylord Entertainment in 1996..
He is essentially the one person that has put the most individual effort into bringing the franchise in.. Former Nashville mayor Phil Bredesen is to be given props as well for urging the city to build the now named Sommet Center to attract such a tenant as this..

Of all teams that deserve praise, the Nashville Predators rank high on the list. Here is a young, skilled team that plays all-out hockey on a nightly basis. However, almost everyone who doesn't root for the team wants to run it out of Music City faster than anything. My question is this: why rake Nashville over the coals when teams such as Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Florida are the jokes of the NHL?
Trotz is given what he gets, yet rallies and make the playoffs pretty much every year with a less payroll! GREAT COACH!..................Nashville gets a bad rep beause its NASH...... but to me they are the IDEAL small market team right now.... they make the playoffs spending less!

After their first regulation loss of 2011, the Coyotes are right back on the ice tonight against the Nashville Predators to close out their four-game homestand. Nashville is nipping at Phoenix’s heels in the standings as they are only one point behind the Yotes while playing one less game. There is still plenty of hockey left to be played, but this is a big game tonight.
Nashville is coming off of a back-to-back against Chicago on Saturday and Sunday. The Preds rallied from two goals down at home on Saturday to win it in overtime, but then got blown out by the Blackhawks the next night behind three third period goals from the Hawks with Anders Lindback in net.
