Outdoor Hockey Rink

I play JV and am thinking about building a rink. What is the perimeter of a decent sized outdoor hockey rink for a high school hockey player? I need to see how much plywood i need. Thanks!

I think that Hudson Bay makes a great hockey rink.

Time lapse of my backyard rink setup

I've been playing as a goalie for about two months now, but not too often. Because I cannot find an outdoor skating rink to practice at. So I was wondering where could I find one at that is in Philadelphia.

Look for ice rinks around you. Most of the ice rinks i know have free ice which they have "sticks and pucks." This is when you pay money in order to go an play ice hockey at the rink. This doesn't require a team. Also, some rinks let goalies in for free.=]

I was woundering if anyone new of a really strong flood light. I make a hockey rink on the lake in my back yard. There is a tree on shore and if i could attach a strong flood light to it it might be able to light it up at night. Any suggestions? The rink is about the size on 1/2 a normal rink.

go to home depot and get some halogen lights, they are about $20. you might need two or three.

what can you use for the blue and red lines to make an outdoor hockey rink?

we used to put crepe paper streamers or wide ribbon on the ice and then continue to layer ice over the lines.

Apparently there is an outdoor hockey rink ready for use near Lansdowne park in Ottawa, Canada, if anybody knows what it is called, where it is (address) or directions please help! Thank you!

I'm not too sure which rink you want, but if you go to that site (I had to enlarge it) you can see where the different rinks are. If all goes well the canal will be up and running soon though :)
