Where is the best place in NYC,[manhattan] to buy roller/ice hockey equipment. [warrior/nike/mission/tour/etc]?

i dont live near nyc. but i would say go to your local pro shop if you have one. and if you dont go to the big name stores like sports authority scheels and all those places. but if you dont want to spend retail store prices. go to the websites to save money.

inlinewarehouse.com
hockeymonkey.com
or if worst comes to worst, ebay.com

Hockey Equipment Question?

Hi Everyone. I am getting $240 dollars max for roller hockey equipment. I'm still a beginner, however, I am a decent skater. I can do hockey stops, crossovers, backwards crossovers, speed skating, power skating, etc. I've been skating for about half a year now with about 2-3 days a week of practice. I also 2 months ago have been practicing stick handling. I am 115 lbs and I am 14 years old, turning 15 in April. I was wondering what type of equipment I would need + suggestions on what actual brand/product I should get with a budget limit of $240. I do not WANT to spend anymore than 240$, so please try to keep it in the low $200-$250 range... or less. Please no used equipment.

Also, I already have skates, just for reference. (Mission BSX with custom indoor 76A Labeda Gripper wheels)

personally, I wouldn't go with those skates but that's just me. Your gonna need a helmet which you can pick up for about $60. The best and most reasonably priced gloves I've ever used is the RBK 5K gloves. They are extremely comfortable, extremely maneuverable, very protective, look good, and best thing they cost only about $60. The most important piece of equipment you need is a hockey stick. The best stick I found is the RBK 1K. It is a solid wood one piece stick with a fiberglass blade that can be used for street hockey, ice hockey, or roller hockey. I think its the best stick I've ever used. Best thing is that the stick only costs $20!!! That leaves plenty of money for spare sticks or other gear.

$300 Budget for Roller Hockey Equipment?

Hi Everyone. I am getting $300 dollars max for roller hockey equipment. I'm still a beginner, however, I am a decent skater. I can do hockey stops, crossovers, backwards crossovers, speed skating, power skating, etc. I've been skating for about half a year now with about 2-3 days a week of practice. get a bauer vapor xii stick. they are on sale at hockeygiant.com
youll want a pair of shin pads. RBK 3Ks should do the job, those are for sure at hockeymonkey.com and maybe at hockeygiant.com too. get a RBK 4K helmet. that is probably at either site. and i wouldnt get elbow pads if you dont have to (they tend to get inthe way). and i would reccomend the RBK 3K gloves, they are good for the price, i use them and i like them a lot.

i acutually use most of this equipment my self, its just more expenseive because i have more top of the line stuff.

funny thing, i use the same wheels on my mission hgx skates.
