Is there a difference between the two, and if so, what is the difference. Also can i play field hockey outside with an indoor stick?

The difference in indoor sticks is simply the curved end. Indoor sticks have shorter, more curved ends than the outdoor ones.
I'm sure you could go outside and practice with an indoor stick but in actual games, the refs might call you for it. I'd check with your coach.
The sticks are very similar looking, so you might not have a problem.

i play high school division and i just ordered a grays field hockey stick online, but i didnt realize it was an indoor stick until i bought it and started using it. am i allowed to use an indoor stick during outdoor games? i know the stick is a lot thinner and i dont want to break any rules.

I would use an outdoor stick because the indoor ones are a lot smaller and thinner. If you get the outdoor stick you will get more coverage. And the indoor ones break faster.

But you can use them in outdoor play.

I'm going to start playing indoor in January, but its only like 10 games. Is is necessary for me to get an indoor stick? The coaches never told us to, but my friend is getting all this equipment, but i don't really see the point if we're only going to play 10 games and then its over. And would playing with an outdoor stick really make a difference in my game?

I also play indoor field hockey in the winter. If you're going to keep playing indoor field hockey for a few years, then get one. If not, don't worry about. There isn't really much of a difference.

i got my bellybutton pierced yesterday (the 27th) and i have an indoor field hockey practice wednesday (the 1st). will i be able to play? bend over? i'm afraid to bend over now and hurt my piercing.
