I have been reading up lately about some of the bauer hockey sticks containing to much led or something like that? Just wanted to ask you if the Bauer X 50 hockey stick is okay or not?
Here is a list of all the sticks being recalled by bauer. only junior sticks are on this list. your stick is not listed so no you are fine

I recently bought the Vapor x:40 hockey stick, I wanted to know if it's the same thing as the Nike Bauer Vapor XXXX, just renamed with a new paint job, when Nike stopped doing hockey. I'm talking about the hockey STICK, not the skates.
If not, which is better, what are the differences? Help in much appreciated, will choose best answer.
The Vapor XXXX is an older line of sticks. The X40 is the newer line. They are essentially the same, with minor improvements on the x40. The x40 has a different blade design for a more real feel and the shaft is slightly tapered towards the blade.
As for which is better, its all how it feels in your hands. I recommend you go to your local hockey shop and try out the sticks. If I were to choose one on the spot based on features, I would go for the x40.

I use about 2-3 sticks a season here, this season i got the x60, and 2 days later the total one was released, my current back up is the vapor 40, is the total one worth that 250 dollars on getting or it's not that much of a difference from the Bauer One95 which is what I plan to get if not the total one.
its not the stick, its the person holding the stick.
anyway get the X:60 cuz its cheaper and still a good stick. All those sticks you mentioned are great, but if you dont care about money and have to have the latest stuff get the total one.

I've been playing hockey for some 20+ years now, but have always been rather clueless on where and what I'm supposed to be doing on the ice when I don't have the puck (although sometimes also when I do.) Could you recommend a book for me that would teach the X's and O's of on-ice positioning?
Would something like this help you, it's called "The Hockey Play Book: Teaching Hockey Systems"

i dont know any books but what position are you?
hockey is a very fast paced game, there is no definite position you are going to be sitting at, you need to be moving and not worry about your positioning if you have a play at the puck that someone else may not.
the players have to adjust to the play depending on whats happening although defensively everyone has their own roles

L.A. KINGS' ZONE ENTRIES TELL THE TALE « S U R L Y & S C R I B E ...
As promised, I tracked closely each of the Kings’ zone entries in last night’s 5-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers. The parameters were as follows:
Each of L.A.’s offensive zone entries that resulted in a shot on goal or a scoring opportunity (a deflected or blocked shot that had a chance) were given a Y mark. Each of the Kings’ entries that failed to result in the above was given a X mark Goals that resulted from Murray’s system of cycling the puck were circled. The first period up to the 10 minute mark looked like this: X, X, X, X, Y, X, X, Y, Y, X. That is 10 zone entries, only 3 of which resulted in a shot or scoring opportunity. The final 10 minutes of the period produced: X, X, Y (goal), X, X, X, Y, X, X, Y (goal), X, X, X, Y, Y, X, X, X, X. 19 zone entries, 5 of which productive. That resulted in a first period of 29 zone entries and only 8 that brought offensive chances. Both of the Kings’ goals were outside of Terry Murray’s system. By that I mean the goals were not from “stopping” the puck along the boards, down low, cycling it behind the net or to the point and getting a shot on net with traffic in front. The Kings played Murray’s system throughout most of the period and, as you can see from the statistics, not much came out of it. As with other opponents in the past 30 + days, the Oilers’ defenders double teamed (although not as well) the predictable puck recipient along the boards and were able to break up the play.
