I've been trying to come up with a training regimen for hockey and I need some guidance. Right now I do a lot of running and lifting; 3-6 miles a day 7 days a week, weight lifting 3 days a week, and I play/practice 2 days a week. This has all improved my game and my fitness level immensely. I was just wondering if anyone had any other ideas or conditioning tips that could aid me in my pursuit of hockey greatness.
conditioning on the ice, doing herbies will do it for sure. if it was good enough for the 1980 american team to outskate the dominent russians, i'm sure it will help you. i do em on the basketball court but it's not as effective, at least it's free. other then that you sound like your doing well. don't want to overtrain. make sure you're also watching nutrition and if not already, i suggest a complete whey protein powder supplement.

My son's peewee hockey coach owns his own company that prints shirts and embroiders so personalized stuff is out and he is the type of person that if you give training aids he gets offended .. I have no idea what to get him for Christmas.. I got the assistant coach a gift but he was easy and his heart is into the team much more than the head coach. I got the assistant coach a giant playboard but I know the head coach wouldn't like it.
Thanks guys.. i am sure I will come up with something.
I still treasure those goofy looking plaques with the team picture and a signature (first autographs) of all the players on my teams. It brings back memories especially when I run into one of them or see them at a later time. Sort of a "I knew him when... "
Um...I'm having a debate with my parents
whether I should apply to NYU's CAS or Stern school of business
I really want to go to Stern school of business, its just not that i'm not sure whether i can get in...:S a

is it worth a shot applying to nyu stern?
cuz the acceptance overall for NYU is 30 something %, but for stern apparently its 9% :( nd beyond that...my Bs at GCSE would be severely detrimental to my application ...
what should i do???
That's a good problem to have. If you have the money, apply to both.

Thanks to everyone that replied i really appreciate it. And Gray Area i called and asked CESD if they would represent someone out of LA and they said as long as you make it the auditions there is no problem, but thanks.
And you gotta start somewhere to build your resume so why not with CESD
You probably should have posted this question before you posted your resume my friend :)
Obviously you have taken your personal details out for confidentiality, which was as smart as the rest of the resume is.
I like what you have listed, you have put a lot of thought into it and a lot of what we see is relevant to the Industry. Ideally I would recommend the measurements (yes they are relevant as they are requested when you go for professional auditions, anyone with any "gray matter" knows that) up the top just underneath where you'd have your personal details. That is where it is placed on my resume that my agency has on file whom I get regular work from.
All in all congratulations, if you have been in community theatre or school productions I would list them also under a separate heading.
You have put together a neat, eye catching, informative resume and an agency would be lucky to have you on their file.
Well done and all the best :)
