Hockey School

this summer i am going to notredame hockey school... im very pumped :) but, i was wondering.. does anyone know how i should get ready.. like should i do a certain amount of pushups a day or what? :P thanks for the help ;) .

i go to that camp every year and it is not as physically demanding as you think just be sure to do a lot of stretching because your legs will get sore after a while, but i do recommend doing push ups and running. good luck

The Paul Grundtisch Hockey School's "Spring Break Clinic" has been designed to improve and enhance the player's basic skills through instruction and skill development drills. This clinic is for boys and girls ages 6 - 9 & 9 - 13 with House League to Travel experience. (NO BEGINNERS PLEASE). Each day the clinic will include one hour of intense instruction. This will be followed by a 30 minute high paced scrimmage game game.

If i went to a hockey school for a couple years would that greatly increase my chance of making a junior a team or the NHL?

Ofcourse!

If you can practice hockey full time for 4 years straight your skill level is going to be way better than if you didnt.

If the school knows what they are doing like Crosby's old school then you should have a good shot.
Going to cost a load og green though.

I am a freshman this year at my High School. I have never done hockey before and have always wanted to do it. How should I train? What foods should I be eating? Where can I register? Do I need any experience? Any help will be a thanks

one thing i did a lot when i was improving was rollerblading. I would rollerblade up hills and would go for about 5 miles a day. then i would take about 1,000 shots a day. 500 on rollerblades and 500 off.
lifts to do
do a lot of band work. i tied one to a pole in my basement. U should incorporate a lot of twisting motions when using the bands because those are your shooting muscles
crank up weight-take a thin pvc pipe and tie a string on it, roll the weight on the other side of the string up to the top keeping your arms straight. do this 20 times a day and u will have a dirty wrister. start off with small weights and build up
-i got this from an article i read about jaromir jagr, but he used to do 600 free weight squats a day. I try to get about 500 or 600 in a day. I also do some one legged squats because ur only on 1 leg most times when you play

as far as other lifts go, always work your shooting and skating muscles. good luck
