What was the hockey reference in Clerks 2?

Every Kevin Smith movie has a hockey reference but I can't remember what it was in Clerks 2? In Clerks they close the store to play.....anyone remember seeing it in clerks 2?!?

I think during the stupid dance scene (i love all the movies but you have to admitt, that scene was stupid) one of the guys dancing in the back was in a hockey uniform.

Wayne's World - GAME ON!!!

How crazy was I to make a hockey reference and expect people to get it?

5 hole is the gap between the goalies legs

I get it. I am Canadian

Can hockey-reference.com be trusted for power play and penalty killing stats?

Im looking for accurate power play and penalty killing statistics for the 1986-87 season. Is hockey-reference.com accurate in this respect? I added up the total amount of power play goals, power play goals against, power play opportunities, short handed opportunities, short handed goals and short handed goals against for all teams and it seems good. But just because some 1600 power play goals equals 1600 power play goals against doesnt mean its accurate right? There could be a few typos there. Does anybody have another website where its absolutely accurate special team stats (other than possibly hockey-reference.com that has at least a few mistakes I have seen)? I know NHL.com stats page had those stats dating back to 87-88, but that link isnt available. Thanks in advance.

There are no websites that have 100% accurate data (the NHL charges way too much for the information and shuts down websites as fast as they arise).

As of March 2007, I had sent in a list of over 1000 corrections to the site, none of which have been made as of July 15, 2008.

Sadly, there are two ways to obtain accurate NHL statistics.
1) Go to your local library and look up the newspapers and obtain the summaries (inexpensive, and painful)

2) Obtain permission from the NHL to search it's archives, obtain game sheets, etc. This is expensive as the NHL charges $10,000 for this service (this is the fee paid by on-air services, internet portals, newspapers, newswires, and individuals for private study).

3) The Hockey News used to provide this service for a fee as well, but in 2002, ceased releasing all NHL statistical information (although you are free to find a library that has Hockey News back issues)

As for NHL.com, NHL.com is currently undergoing a complete statistical revamp to ensure the accuracy and the integrity of their statistical database, the project is scheduled for completion in 2012.

What's the weirdest place you've ever worked in a hockey reference?

Thought I'd ask this one since I jus wrote a workshop lesson about being an ESL student and to prove my point, I made up a French picture matching quiz and used "les Canadiens de Montreal" and a Habs logo as one of the matching pairs on the worksheet. Where do you slip hockey into other things?
*just, not "jus". I'm used to Firefox spell checking as I type, so I forget that IE doesn't do it when I'm at the office!

I teach physics, and I'm constantly using hockey references. I've outlined the forces at work during a slapshot, discussed the amount of pressure needed to crack the ice of a regulation hockey rink during a unit on force, etc. The hockey fans in the class like it, but sometimes I lose everyone else.

One of my classes has four lab sections attached to it, and I've taken to calling them the Patrick, Adams, Smythe, and Norris sections.

It really is a crapshoot which has undergone more cosmetic change – Heidi Montag’s body or the NHL All-Star Game.

Next Friday, the NHL will again try to create interest for this event by broadcasting a live player draft to determine each team’s roster.

Interestingly, looking back through the years on Hockey-Reference.com, the average NHL All-Star Game has featured roughly 17 Hall of Famers*. By decade:

40s: 18 Hall of Famers per All-Star game 2000s**: 13 Hall of Famers per game

Keeping these numbers in mind, who are the Hall of Famers that are playing in the upcoming 58th NHL All-Star Game?

    An educated guess suggests:
