For some reason when i showed up the team was called the FLYERS? And they were using sticks sooting into a net. I thought u were supposed to hit down the pins with a tennis ball?? And everybody had on hockey shirt and i was wering a Big BEn shirt. I am highly confused can any body help me. Also it was my bday so when i got there i wanted to get a suffener tennis ball and maybe a speed stacks but all there was, was hockey equipment. I need help with this game of hockey

The Steelers are a Football Team, not a hockey team, the hockey team in Philadelphia is the Flyers, and there are no tennis balls in either sport, i think your confused abit.

Was much expected of them? Were they expected by the home crowd to make a deep run in the tournament? Also, was there a lot of pressure on them to 'bring home the gold', much like how the 2010 team experienced pre-Olympics?

There was actually a great deal of pressure on the 1988 Olympic Team (similar to this year's team if you ask Bob Nicholson (the only executive memeber of both the 1988 and 2010 Canadian Olympic Teams)).

The team consisted of several players with NHL experience (14 in all) with the hope of bringing home the gold on Canadian soil. The team had won both the Izvestia Cup (against the same Russians and Czechs playing in the Olympics) and the Spengler during a 24 day span in late December and early October and people expected them to win.. Members of the 1988 team included 3x Stanley Cup champions Andy Moog and Randy Gregg as well as local hero Jim Peplinski.

Bronz - Elizabeth Manley had no pressure - Brian Orser was the figure skater with all the pressure.

I've been playing for a few years and had my first hockey Live Draft last year but have never been able to pin down a solid strategy for which players to take and when. Are there any important "rules of thumb" to remember when drafting (i.e taking Running Backs in the first 2 rounds in fantasy football)? I've read that Centers are a lot like Wide Receivers in fantasy football and Pitchers in fantasy baseball in that there are a lot of talented ones and they can be had throughout the draft, even later on. Is this true? Anything else to remember? Are Goalies important?

First rule - Goalies are MONEY. gotta go with em. they're (dare i say) more valuable than RB's in football - simply because theres 4 elite, then 3 beyond that, then the 'rest'. Second rule - draft defencemen last, never reach for a d-man. Third rule - when choosing between equally talented wingers and centers, always go with the wingers, as C is a pretty deep position. RW is shallowest this year, followed by LW, then C. Good luck.

i play hockey and when ever i work hard, i'll get off the ice and i will have pins and needles in my legs. why is this?
