That's what my girlfriends and I think. Why or why not? It's obviously harder to figure skate, and takes more skill. My girlfriends and I are curious about other perspectives though.
hahaha , my friend you obviously have not seen elite players or know anything about hockey
The Hockey Outlet
What's so cool about hanging from the wires, light stands and breaking shop windows after a hockey game? Is an outlet for the frustration of just sitting crammed up all night watching the game and then going on a rampage? Makes no sense.
Myself I really dont give a s¤¤¤ about sport, but I have seen and understand that just like some others say, the game kind of becomes personal, taken to seriously. People that this happens to really need better self control or help from a psycologist. One might say that the team on the field represents your contry, but the same results come up when the 2 teams have nothing what so ever to do witht he person/people going on a rampage.

i've been figure skating for most of my life and im sick of it. it costs to much and my mom said hockey would be a good outlet for my anger. i've tryed hockey skates and i can skate pretty fast on them. theres no womens hockey leagues at my rink. help?
Start off playing co-ed. Learn by taking the lessons. Because you can figure skate that is a big start. But still take lesson on how to play. Then play pick up. If there are no women's teams then start one yourself. Get together with the rink and post it up that you want to start a women's league. That what we did. Now we have six women's team. You have to start somewhere. Good luck.
Hey
I play ball hockey in a leauge and I have a few questions regarddng playing defence. my forwards are very lazy and they never come back to help. my questions is if I have no wingers open what should i do should I just get it out of the zone, im afirad if i hit it off the boards hard it will be icing. lsecondly on a shoot in I am the left D and the ball goes all the way around and i get it am I just suppose to bank it off the boards or look for an open guy? Lastly on a power play can anyone give me some tips ppl on my team are morons and they never run but i work hard. i make mistakes but i wanna learn from them. On a power play should i dump the puck in or shoot it on net im not sure wat to do. also in ball hockey the ball bounces alot and wen i make an outlet pass the ball is gonna bounce becuzase iif it stay s on the ground itll get picked off wat kinda psses should i be making becuase sometimes when i pass it to my forwards they have the ball bounc over their stick.
If your forwards are staying beyond the blue line, they're doing their job. It's up to you and your defense partner to clear the ball out.
It's okay to clear it off the boards. The angle and the speed should slow the ball down enough for your forwards to get it before the icing (disregard if your league doesn't like two-line passes).
On your PP is a poker question: it all depends on the situation. If you feel your forward is open and can take the shot, by all means, pass it. If you feel that they're not open enough to even take a pass, shoot it. If neither, pass it to your defense partner and reset. There are a lot more scenarios, so....go with your gut instinct, I guess.
I am looking for the address or contact number of Ice Hockey equipment retail or wholesale outlets in New York or New Jersey
One possibility is at Gerry Cosby's, a store at the Pennsylvania Station/Madison Square Garden complex at 32nd Street & 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. They've got everything hockey. The only downside is, you'll be surrounded by Ranger fans. RANGERS SUCK!
There used to be a Cosby's as Princeton Forrestal Village in Plainsboro, New Jersey, but they closed years ago.

Regroup Center Outlet | Ice Hockey Drills
This drill is a regroup drill in which players work on the center outlet. It is intended to work on the timing of the forwards so they put themseleves in a good position to receive a pass from the defense. A lot of players have the tendency to get too far ahead of the play and therefore do not provide a good angle for the defense to make a pass to the center lane. Place pucks along the boards at the blue line on both sides (as shown) and in both corners of the offensive zone. Forwards line up along the boards at the offensive blue. Defense form three lines in the defensive zone (as shown). On the whistle the defense skate forwards to the blue line and transition backwards. The player along the boards picks up a puck and controls it as they transition backwards. The forward starts at teh same time and skates towards the line of defense in front of them. D1 makes a pass to the other defense who should receive the puck and move up ice to make a pass to F1. F1 skates through center ice to receive a pass from D2. F1 need to time their break to receive the pass at a good angle. F1 then takes the puck down the ice and shoots. After the shot F1 skates into the corner, picks up a puck and makes a pass back to D2 who is following the play.
