A friend of mine has a birthday coming up and I want to give him a gift subscription to a hockey magazine. He plays in a local amateur league and is an NHL fan, especially the Washington Capitals - is the Hockey News a good choice? If not please recommend another. Thank you!
I agree, the Hockey News makes a great gift, there is a link on the website to send a gift subscription. It is $50 for a one year subscription and you can send an e-greeting to announce the gift.

The Hockey News...it's a no brainer. In this Internet age, though, you can get virtually everything you want to know about your team on a 24-hour basis with blogs and that sort of stuff. But if you prefer a magazine, go with The Hockey News.

Bauer is the best if you are looking for gear. I don't know if they have a magazine or not, but I know they have a blog on their webiste, bauer.com. They are definitely my go to people! =)
