Why Do Minor and Junior Hockey Players have No Respect for Each other these Days?

Seems like every player in Midget and Junior is going head hunting out there every game. Why do they do this? Is it because they suck at hockey and cant do anything but try and go out there and hurt somebody instead of just normally playing the body.

Here is my thoughts'

If you hit someone, all you get is a penalty ( unless its really bad ) so they take out the best players, i disagree, it has happend to me too playing for the famail team in bantom. they would hit me with there sticks in frount of the net and punch me, they did whatever they had to do so i couldent touch the puck, headhunting, my dad noticed that when i went on the ice they aggusted there lines, that is hockey now er days i guess. i dont agree though. i was working the penalty box at a home tourney for the boys team ( my team ) and in the box there was a lot of penaltys. the players would say " im hitting that kid" or " see number 11 im grabbing him at the last minut" and he was hit at top speed head first on his side, he didint see what was cumming

If i play in the atlantic junior hockey league do i have a chance to go pro?

I might play junior ice hockey in the atlantic junior hockey league(ajhl). If i play do i have a chance to play pro hockey or do i need to adavance to higher levels of junior hockey. Also i might play junior b in the MET leaugue. do i have chance to make pros if i play that level of juniors also. If you can, can you post answers for both of the leagues it would be appreciated, thanks.

It really depends on how old you are. If you're 16 and you're joining the tier III league, then things are looking good. The AJHL is I'd say the 3rd best tier III league in the states behind the EJHL (not even debatable) and the CSHL (now that they have a direct partnership with the NAHL, it was announced yesterday). I'd say you need to progress to at least the NA or get on a good EJ team by the time you graduate from juniors to have shot at the pros. Just my opinion

How to i join the ohl or any junior hockey leagues?

how to i join any junior hockey leagues/
can i join while in college?

Firstly be in college. You cannot be in two leagues at once, so you would have to pick one of the Junior leagues.

What are the levels of junior hockey in Ontario?

Could somebody outline or point me to a website that outlines the levels of junior hockey in Ontario? Things like Junior A, Minor, Midget, Bantam, A, AA, AAA etc. etc. What's the hierarchy? What are the age groups? Do teams get promoted/relegated between levels? Which levels have a draft system? Stuff like that.

Thanks!

This is a big question. With 50 clubs in Toronto minor system alone. Twenty teams in the OHL and 40+ teams in the two Junior A leagues and as many more teams in Junior B - C - D leagues. there are numerous levels.
As a start I can point you to the OHF web site http://www.ohf.on.ca/

This is a good starting point. Read on and enjoy. Better yet find a rink and go to a minor league game. Any Saturday will likely work.

is Junior Hockey in canada as big as College football in the US?

for instance i have no idea who is in the draft for the NHL untill a few days before and even then i only know a few people. but for the NFL draft i know who everyone is for the first 3 rounds. so in canada is Junior hockey followed as much as College football in the U.S?

Junior hockey is NOT followed anywhere near as much as College Football in the USA.

Hell, the NHL isn't followed as much in Canada as College Football is in the USA.

The NCAA television contract for one year, is greater than the NHL's North American television contracts in the last 10 years.

The share of televisions tuned into NCAA football in the US is 15%. The share of televisions in Canada tuned to Major Junior Hockey...0.8% (The NHL does have a 17.3% share in Canada). According to a spokesperson at Rogers Cable, the number of Canadians watching US College Football is hundreds of thousands (the average television audience for a Canadian Junior Game is less than 50,000 - on par with the LPGA)

College Football is huge business in the United States (Go to Vegas on a Saturday morning!). Comparing Canada's love of junior hockey, or even the NHL is truly laughable.

Now, there is a week every December where Junior Hockey is king...................................

“I went around, doing a few tryouts in the USHL and NAHL, and I ended up in Quesnel. After the preseason, I got moved to Trenton, Ont., and I drove across Canada to get there,” said Toohey. “Along the way, I decided I wanted to be in New England, so I made some phone calls. One day, I got a text that the Huskies needed a defenseman. I was only in Trenton for about 48 hours before I moved to Tyngsboro [Mass., home of the Huskies].”
