Hockey Jock

I've been experiencing some groin pain and soreness. I play hockey 6 days a week, a couple of hours a day. I have been wearing a loose fitting jock but with having some soreness think I should get a jock with more support. But, I'm not sure which one to get?

you should try one like this... i used to have the same problem, but this one seems to be working a whole lot better

my husband is entereing his first tournament and has a list of equipment he needs but money is a little tight. he already has a jock for hockey, is it the same thing?

It should work fine. I believe it is a hard cup like the one we use in Tae Kwan Do.
If not they are not expensive they can be bought at Wal Mart for a few dollars.
Make sure you get a good chest protector that is one area you don't want to skimp. The kind used in the Olympic competitions are the best. They spread the force of a blow.

You know like a pair of Orange Shock Doctors or something, not like a regular jock strap

and if you do, briefs, boxers, or boxer breifs
and if you do, im guessing it's under the hockey jock

I am a woman player I wear undies , then a lycra bike short and my Jill strap on top of that .

the kinda that i got dont come off they are attatched and when u peel it off they just hang down and get in the way

It is a very simple, and effective way to hold your socks.

After putting your pads on, and sliding your socks up, you peel the flap off the hook part of the velcro, and simply press your sock onto it. The hooks in the stiff side of the velcro will grab the loose weave of the sock, and hold it in place!

When you take your socks off, be sure to re-cover the hooks with the flap, or the velcro will get filled up with lint, and other loose pieces of cloth and stuff, making the velcro work less effectively.

I was reluctant to buy the hockey shorts, but once I did, I wondered why it took me so long....

EDIT: The part you are talking about that hangs down is just the cover part for the hook part of the velcro that does the holding on your socks. The material the sock is made of will act like the loop part of the velcro, sticking to the hook part of the velcro.

i have a hockey compression jock and every practice and game, my jock will be out of place. It will be sideways, upside, anything but the position it is suppose to be in. Im wondering if there is a way to fix this or do i have to buy a new jock.

ya the same think happens here i have the vapor 40 jock pants and ya sometime my shlong slips out the side and the cup moves around to but i just adjust mine during the whistle or the game
