Hockey Jewelry

i play hockey on a U14a Girls League and i was told that wearing earings is okay, is that true? and i want to get my belly button pierced for christmas. could i still play hockey with it in? or what would i do to tape it? helpp please!

Depends on your league rules but most do not allow visible jewelry of any kind. If your helmet covers the earrings I suspect the ref just hasnt noticed but if they do they can (and most often) demand they be removed. As for a belly piercing I cant see where it would matter as it should never be exposed but consider if you get hit there it could very easily get ripped out and that wouldnt be pretty. I am a Little league and high school umpire and during a tournament I seen a girl who while wearing a helmet slid into home plate and the tag ripped off her helmet a a huge chunk of her ear. Had I been umpiring that game she never gets on the field....I do a jewelry check before every game and have a zero tolerance policy (some allow earrings to be taped). I dont ref hockey (still the old man plays so I dont have time to ref but i am imagining i might in the next couple years) but having seen the injuries from LL and high school games(they make us watch us video's showing injuries from various situations including jewelry injuries) I would strongly suggest taking out any jewelry without needing a ref to tell you the rules....it isnt worth the damage that can be done (trust me...that girl who lost a chunk of ear was in incredible pain, as bad as broken ankles which I've also seen).

I have a hockey dinner coming up, i want to wear a red dress and some red heels, What do you think?
The dress is quite short and some of my teachers will be there, should i wear jeans under the top? How should i have my hair? What kind of jewellery?
I have quite a vintage/unique style, my favourite item that i own is a spoon on a necklace!

if you know the dress is short already, then no, dont wear that. You will feel uncomfortable all night. Just wear the jeans and a cute shirt. I always straighten my hair for a cute yet classy look with a pretty neckalce and braclet. :)

My problem is I am on a very serious Ice Hockey team. I play for 2 hours at a time 5 out of 7 days a week. I want to get my eyebrow pierced, but I would need to take the jewlwery out for whenever I play. Is there a way for me to get the piercing done and use instead of jewelry say fishing line in the hole until the healing process is finished? That way when it is healed I will be able to take the ring in and out when I play the sport.

Any insight will be appreciated.

You have to have jewelry in it constantly for it to heal properly and not close up. Piercings close very fast, no matter how "healed" they are. If you put fishing line in it, the skin will grow onto the fishing line and cause a major infection. If you're that serious about playing hockey, don't get a piercing.

Probably zero.

Most people do not itemize so their donations do not change their taxes any.
