What do you think is harder at a professional level soccer, lax or hockey goalkeeper?

What sport do you believe is harder for a goalkeeper, lacrosee, soccer or hockey ?

At a professional level, I'd have to say hockey, just because there is so much competition, and if you have just a couple bad games in a row you're replaced just like that.

I want to quit being hockey goalkeeper and play out feild, but how do i tell my coaches?

One of my coahes says i could think about it, the other thinks i could play u18 level when i am 14, WHAT DO I DO?

Tell them "Hey, I think I might want to play out for one game, just to see how I like it. Do you think maybe I could try when we think we're gonna crush a team and see if someone else wants to have a shot at goalie?" They might like the idea and they might not, just give it a shot. Hey, I'm a poet.

Why not give work to the fattest man in the world as a hockey goalkeeper?

It would be a good deal. He would earn a professional salary in the NHL. The team though not win every game or tournament, never receive an own goal. Physically speaking, the disk has no where to go in goal.

My best literal answer:

- He would die of heart failure 5 minutes into the game
- If he lived past 5 minutes, he would surely fall and be unable to pick himself up.
- Once laying on the ice, he would probably cover about 80% of the lower-half, but top shelf would be fair game.
- NHL players would realize his lack of experience and fire pucks at his head. This would likely knock him down or cause him to quit.
- You aren't allowed to eat multiple turkey subs while playing a professional sport.
- Regulation sized equipment would probably cover less than half of what it covers on a normal man.
- There's no way this man could ever get into the arena and onto the ice. He would have to be dressed at home, then helicoptered through the ceiling of the arena and plopped in front of the net.

Hasek has five shutouts Hasek’s statistics. this season, including four in eight games from Dec. 8 to Jan. 8. The second of those clean sheets, a 24-save effort in a 3-0 victory over Spartak’s archrival, CSKA Moscow, was a special one.

It made Hasek, at 45 years 327 days, the oldest goalie to record a shutout in a premier league. He surpassed another great, Jacques Plante, who was 45 years 325 days old and an Edmonton Oiler when he shut out the Michigan Stags, 7-0, in a World Hockey Association game in 1974.

(The oldest goalies to record shutouts in the N.H.L. are Plante and Johnny Bower, who were 44, followed by Hasek, who was 43.)

Hasek’s latest shutout, a 1-0 victory over Vityaz Chekhov on Jan. 8, raised the record age to 45 years 344 days. And as a bonus, the coach of the Czech national team, Alois Hadamczik, said he might call on Hasek to play for his country in the Euro Hockey Tour next April.
