in hockey, my friend is lending me his equiptment but his goal pads are 3'' smaller than my size.will they still fit
Well, if your level of seriousness is at the point where you don't have your own equipment then I wouldn't worry much about it. On the other hand, if your full-time position is goalie then you may wanna consider getting what's right.
A 3-time MVP of the Saskatchewan Moose Lodge Hockey League (SMLHL), Clark wanted to try something new for the off-season.
I played field hockey in middle school and then took the year off. i want to get back in the game by playing this year. but i am out of shape and need to start practicing now. i am a goalie. Any tips?

I'm playing roller hockey this year and I'm trying out for goalie, we have to buy gear. Is there a difference between the two?
protection + weight mostly, a roller hockey one can only safely handle the impact from a street/roller hockey ball or puck which is significantly lighter than a ice hockey puck

$139.99
$100.03

Im just starting hockey and i really want to play hockey, i dont plan on being very serious about hockey, not going anywhere past the house level and going to open hockey with my friends. I wouldnt mind using gear thats used and a few years old because i dont need the top of the line stuff. What should i expect to pay for a set of goalie pads like this?
I can't tell you how much to pay as people will sell you different things for different prices but here's what to look for.
First make sure you know your measurements mainly your at the knee.

Then figure who you will be playing against, because even in house leagues some guys can shoot the puck.
You'll get what you pay for, spending the extra hundred dollars or so now will save you lots of bruises and aches later on.
Make sure the gear isn't worn down and still have all the pieces and padding where needed.
You don't need to necessarily get the biggest name brand equipment (ie. Bauer, Vaughn, Reebok) but make sure you know of the manufacture and check them out. Some smaller brand but very good equipment is Simmons, GOI, Battram all make good gear at lower prices.
I would also like a website that explaines the different types of saves and shows how to dress up as an ice hockey goalie, example, what things u put on first and in what order.
Thanks
Goaltenders need the following equipment and it generally goes on in this order. Some people may do it differently, but it's impossible to do it drastically different.
1) Cup (most important piece of equipment!)
2) Garter belt and socks
- Some people wear shorts with velco tabs to hold the socks up and a built in cup.
3) Hockey Pants
4) Skates
5) Leg pads
6) Chest protector
7) Helmet/mask
8) Gloves
There are several types of saves. Kick save, glove save, blocker save, stick save, etc. Below are a couple of links that are probably a bit more relevant. These contain information about goaltending styles and cover the specific saves.

Cheap Ice Hockey Goalie Pads on Sale
The ice hockey goalie pads a player chooses to wear is an important decision. There are cosmetic and functional factors that need to be considered when the decision is made. What Should You Consider When Buying Ice Hockey Goalie Pads?
The first thing you want to do is know what kind of player you are. What are your strengths and what are your weaknesses. Are you quick, agile and flexible. Every goalie should be, but what are you best at. Buying a pair of ice hockey pads that...
