Girls Ice Hockey

I'm really serious about being a pro player. And i know i can pretty much only do that if im in a good high school for ice hockey. I dont care if i have to stay in dorms and move away..sometimes u have to make that sacrifice. Just name some that are really good for girls hockey :) thx -hockey girl

Boy, do I have the answer for you. If you (your parents) can afford it, there is a private boarding school in Fairibault, Minnesota called Stattuck-St. Mary's. They have an elite program and also have 2 girls teams.
Some recent players (boys) who have attended the school are Sidney Crosby, Patrick Eaves, Angelo Espisito (a top 3 NHL pick this year), Jack Johnson-Crosby's best friend and he just signed with the LAKings this week, heck even your boy Zach Parise, in fact his dad J.P. Parise is the Director of prospect evaluation.

I am 5'4, 122 pounds. I want to continue to play in college and a reach for the stars dream would be the olympics. Am i average height or small for a girls ice hockey player?

I don't wanna be rude, but you're kinda short and thin. i've been playing ice hockey since first grade and now i'm in ninth. i am 5'11 and 192 pounds. all the girls on my team are fairly tall and very muscular. but, if i were you, i'd still play continue no matter what height or weight becuase i love the game that much. so if you love the game alot and can't live without it... continue to play.

I am writing a story and my main character, a girl plays ice hockey. I believe she lives in Minnesota, somewhere up north and that gets cold quick. I feel at her school ice hockey is the main sport and there could be a boys and girl team. Perhaps a high school that doesn't offer football but ice hockey instead. If anyone knows of a school it would be very helpful.

Im 14 and want to play ice hockey. I will take a class on first how to play ice hockey and learn the basics, then Im going to join a hockey league at the sportsplex I go to. Do you have any advice?? When I was 9 I played on a all boys full contact football team, so im no stranger to being rough with people=]

I play, and from what you have said you sound pretty prepared. I started only a few years ago, i was 13. It is a lot of fun. Try and enjoy yourself and work hard is my advice!

I'm 14 and I played field hockey for 2 years in New Jersey but I couldn't find any field hockey teams in South Florida so I decided to try ice hockey. If you know any girls ice hockey teams or field hockey teams in South Florida, it would help me out a lot. Thanks.

Where in South Florida are you exactly? I live in South Florida. In the Pompano Beach Area. We have been trying to set up a girls teams. But I do know where you can play regularly until we get it all set up. Contact me and I can put you in touch with that program. I do not know of any field hockey down here in Florida
Ducks :You are an idiot. There is more hockey down here then you could ever know. If you the garbage we have to go through to get ice time. Because so many teams and leagues want it you would be surprised. I play ice hockey down here in South Florida. Women's and Co ed. House and Travel. I was part of the group that set up the first all women's travel league in the State of Florida. I am also part of the reigning state champs at my level. So Shut it with your ignorance
