My parents won't buy me floor hockey equipments so can i just use a stick and a tennis/whiffle ball? or do you suggest something else without buying the equipment?
Do you have anywhere to play safely? If not, no wonder they won't buy hockey equipment. They probably don't want the basement getting destroyed.
These are just some of my hockey equipment. 1. Vapor X:20 Glove Junior Bauer size 12.0 2. Sher-wood 19kJr 3. Orange Hockey Ball
Depends on the quality and if you can use Jr size gear or need Adult size.
For floor hockey, I would estimate at least 300 dollars US if buying new.
For ice hockey, at least 1000, though there are sales going on, if it's your
first set you REALLY should get fitted in person.
We're starting 8th grade soon and in 7th grade we had to play floor hockey and i sucked and they never pass it to sucky people and I was wondering can i practice at home using a scratching stick and a tennis/whiffle ball since i don't have the equipment? and how can i train so i can control the puck?
the most key part of puck control is being able to do it second-nature. if you have to look down at the puck to control it, you're going to get lit up (if you play some extreme floor hockey) or get robbed. ask your parents for a beginners' stick and a street hockey ball or puck. those dont cost much. just practice running with it, keeping it out in front of you, away from your body, but in control. also, learn to box out defenders with the body. keep your body between the defenders and the puck. thats crucial in floor hockey because you move a lot differently without skates on and can utilize the box out a lot more.

CAn you buy a collapsible hockey rack to take with you? Or, get a wire shoe rack-the kind that hangs on a door, and a few clothes pins.
I'm 16 and new to hockey but I really want to play. I played floor hockey in gym class and was pretty good. I used to skate a little but not really. I am interested in both ice and roller hockey. I have been saving up for equipment too.
It really all depends on which on you want to do more. Ice hockey typically casts a little bit more to play, but If money isn't a factor I would go with ice. If you end up trying both, you'll notice that each type of hockey (floor, roller, and ice) all have there subtle differences.
I would find out where the nearest ice rink is and how much open skate costs. I would do that for a while until you are comfortable with skating. After that there are usually high school or junior leagues you can join. Also a lot of rinks offer a "stick and shoot", "puck and pass", etc. that you can practice your stick handling and shooting. If this option isn't available, I would highly consider roller hockey.
You can play just about anywhere (you might have to use a puck instead of a ball) as long as the surface is dry. You can practice your inline skating skills just about anywhere. There tends to be a few less pads required when playing roller too, so it wont cost as much.

The following article presents the very latest information on floor hockey. If you have a particular interest in floor hockey, then this informative article is required reading. The below article will cover every aspect of floor hockey and show you why floor hockey has grown to be one of the most popular sports on the planet. Ever since I found the strength to stop smoking my floor hockey skills have come back and even stronger. No smoking means more energy.
There’s no doubt that floor hockey is one of the most popular games around, in large part because it’s a fast-paced, exciting sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels. Another reason that floor hockey is so popular is that it’s very accessible. Unlike many other sports, you don’t have to spend thousands of dollars on very expensive equipment in order to play competitively. In fact, you can often get top-of-the-line equipment for much less than you think, especially if you shop on the web. There are many sporting goods websites that offer significant discounts on floor hockey equipment. Some of these websites require that you purchase multiple items in order to enjoy the savings. These sites are wonderful if you are in charge of the floor hockey program at your school or if you manage a recreational team and are responsible for providing the equipment. Very often, you have to purchase a whole set of sticks (usually 12), plus a couple of pucks and perhaps even one or two goal nets in order to take advantage of the discounts. So the next time you have to buy floor hockey equipment in bigger quantities, remember to check out some of these websites.
