Columbus Hockey

I have Dish Network and as far as I know, I can't get the NHL network (which is playing the game nation wide). They are broadcasting it on Fox Sports Bay Area and Fox Sports Ohio, but not in my market - Los Angeles. Where can I watch this game?

I once heard the Columbus Chill once changed their names to the Columbus Mad Cows and had a special logo for that game. Does anyone have any evidence of this? Websites, pictures, anything? Bueller? Bueller?

I read this article explains what you are saying. People had t-shirts with snorting cows and hockey sticks. Read under blog "For various reasons, Columbus..."

I just moved here to Columbus and I am looking for a inline hockey rink outdoors or somewhere free where I can practice?

There is supposedly a converted Tennis court somewhere on the Ohio State campus that people use for roller hockey now. I do know that there is an outdoor rink at a park as well (Beekman park?).

There is an outdoor rink in Gahanna, not far from downtown Columbus.

Bonus, there is an indoor rink facility as well in the Grandview section of Columbus.

im guessing the wild because sadly the blue jackets are slacking in many areas which is getting under all of the blue jacket fans skin including myself....as for a fight no because the rivalry isnt as heated as a nashville columbus game or a detroit columbus game i really dont believe there will b a fight especially because we lost dorsett

If so, what did you think of the city, the arena and all the activities connected to the draft? I am writing an article and wanted to get some input from true fans. Please, serious answers only!

Well, I live in Columbus, but due to some bad vacation planning (thought the draft started Saturday, instead of Friday!) I missed the draft. Columbus is a city that has seen most of its growth in the last 20 years. The downtown Arena District was pretty much created around Nationwide Arena, so the area is still relatively new, even comparable to the actual age of the city. Nationwide arena is one of the nicest arena's out there, the practice rink is attached to the arena itself which has been praised by some of the players passing through the Bluejackets during its history. Unfortunately I cant speak for the events surrounding the draft (still pissed I missed it, im a Bluejackets season ticket holder) but I know there was about 3 to 4 community festivals that weekend, so it made for a pretty packed area.
