i am a penguin fan and i hate ovechkin,
They don't play until March 24, 2010.
Do you really need 16 days to come up with an idiotic slogan that will be frowned upon by Caps nation?
Seriously don't act like an a** at the game. If your going to be cheering for the Pens at the Verizon Center you can be loud but contain yourself. Having some dumb sign would only piss of the locals and the rest of Penguin nation will be hated because you had to be a bad apple and give off a bad vibe for the Penguins fans.
Just go to the game watch it and cheer if your team scores. Don't act like a flaming baboon. Have respect!

Ok so I'm a homer, but in my book, Montreal is the hockey capital of the world... and I actually have real reasons why.
1) The NHL was founded in Montreal and the head office was located there until Bettman moved it.
2)The city of Montreal has been awarded the Stanley Cup 40 times.
3)The first NHL entry draft was held in Montreal.
4)A hockey equipment manufacturer in Finland is called Montreal. (The other city with a hockey stick named after it is Victoriaville aka VIC, not Toronto.)
http://www.montrealhockey.com/index/en/h ome/company/main.html
5)The Russians called the Montreal Forum "The House of Hockey"
If you agree Toronto is, or that Montreal is, or have another place with good reason, I'd love to read it.
Ok Vinny, that's a good point... but it's only one thing. That's like saying New York is the hockey capital of the world because head office has been there for about 15 years. Not enough to really convince anyone when faced with the glaring facts supporting Montreal is it?
To Parky - just type hockey capital of the world in google and it will just be full of toronto references.
Candy check again. I said the City of Montreal. I'm afraid my dear the cup was won by the Montreal AAA, The Montreal Victorias, The Montreal Shamrocks, The Montreal Wanderers, Thee Montreal Maroons, AND the Montreal Canadiens.
Marsh you make excellent points. What I was pointing out about the Montreal Hockey Equipment was the fact that a company in FINLAND chose to name their equipment after Montreal. Remember, it's the hockey capital of the WORLD. And if a Finnish company names it's entire hockey equipment company after the city, that's a pretty good indication. It's true that Boston plays in TD Banknorth Center (Toronto-Dominion is what TD stands for) But the bank just paid to have their name on the stadium. Boston didn't choose the name. Your answer is one of the best I've seen and I thank you.
Mathew H, you're damn right I'm hoping for Habs/Flames III. Go Calgary!
Mathew, you're right, no team has the right to call themselves "Canada's Team". Canada has six teams and none deserve that title any more than another.
Dynamo, I think Detroit means to call themselves "HockeyTown USA" and I would have said Boston might disagree except that you have a ton of people who went to see a regular season Red Sox game (yawn!) over a playoff game. Maybe they just have given up, I dunno.
Reggie: I thought everyone thought that until I heard the CBC talking. You know, that show called "Leafs Lovers in Canada" with Don Cherry? lol
Avro... guys like you make me realize that all us Canucks are pretty similar. I'm from out West, and we hate it when TO calls themselves the center of hockey... if they got so much money in Toronto... how come they keep on movin to Calgary?
I agree with you 100%. Montreal is the capital of hockey.. hands down. Way more history, no one can deny that. More cups, more players, more heart. It almost makes me want to learn French j/k ;)
Does it make you as angry as me when CBC shows them all the time instead of the Habs, Flames or any other team? No one else except those in Southern Ontario wants to watch that team.
But that doesn't make me as angry as when they call themselves Canada's team from time to time.. that makes me mad.
Oh yeah I have one question for you...
Are you hoping for a repeat of 89 with Calgary/Montreal in the finals :) *knock on wood for me*
What was the final score for the Capitals hockey game 4 yesterday?
Who won and who scored the winning goal?
I missed it!
Washington - 6
Montreal - 3
GWG - Jason Chimera
I kind of want tickets on the ice, so if anyone knows the price of those that would be so much help. I would also like to know the average price of the other levels if that is possible. Thanks so much.
Look to stubhub.com for the best prices.
It would probably cost around $110 for near the ice. For my birthday, my parents got me tickets behind the box, and face value they were $114 i believe.

WASHINGTON — The five or six Senators left in the dressing room lingered at their stalls, some staring blankly at the floor.
Another wasted effort complete with the same old costly mistakes.
In a season that has gone so horribly wrong, the Senators were the victims of their own mistakes Sunday as the Capitals struck for three third-period goals to send Ottawa to a 3-1 loss.
A bad turnover, a dumb penalty and an ugly one on Brian Elliott resulted in goals by Brooks Laich, John Carlson and Jason Chimera. Only Mike Fisher was able to solve Caps goalie Michael Neuvirth.
All this after Ottawa held the lead for 40 minutes.
“We played well. We just couldn’t extend the lead,” said coach Cory Clouston. “It’s been the same thing for so many of our losses. We’ve played well. We just can’t score on our chances.
