Hockey Pants Shells

For like ever I have been trying to find somewhere, website or store, where they have hockey pants, mostly shells, that are just like the ones they wear in the NHL, but I can never seem to find it, someone please help!

if im correct regular pants include padding & pant shells go over a girdie?

What omnipotent said is correct. Also, though, a shell is sometimes used over pants (not necessarily a girdle) as part of the uniform.

Pant shells go over the top of hockey pants or girdles to change your team colors without buying a new pair of pants, pants are expensive. For example an NHL allstar game the players are wearing shells over their team issued pants so all the players on the ice are wearing the same pants.

you can order then custom off of the internet try hockeymonkey.com not sure if you can get shells but i know they carry some pro stock stuff my teams sponsored so all of that stuff just gets sent to us from a factory

Hey so i play rep hockey and my team has to either get our team pants or shells for the pants. But the thing is that i feel the sheels are gonna look ugly and will get annoying cause they arent attached..but my dad doesnt wanna buy me the new pants cause they are expencive and i got new pants last season. What should i do? will the shells be really bad?

Nah, shells aren't bad. I still wear my old team's shell in a house league just because. You don't even notice it.

im looking to buy hockey pants but dont know if i need both hockey pants & a girdie or if the pads are already built into pants.Do pant shells have padding?

all regular hockey pants have the padding built into them.

if for some reason you want to change the colour of your pants (if your team wants everyone to match exactly) you can buy shells that go over your pants.
some of the nhl team players wear shells over their pants when they wear 3rd jerseys that are a different colour of shade of colour.

also, the old cooperalls had a separate pants and shell/long pants. those came out decades ago and you only see a few old timers playing rec hockey wearing them anymore.
