Easton Hockey Pants

Also, how deep do you get your skates sharpened? I get mine at a 1/2 inch but I'm thinking of going sharper. What's the next level, and how much of a difference would it make?

Tackla protects more than the easton but easton looks better if thats what u care about.

On skate sharpening the inches is not how sharp it is but how big of a curve in the actual metal there is. If you are a defender go smaller if you are a forward go bigger.

I have always worn hockey pants, usually Easton. And I have never worn a girdle. Up until now, all the teams I have been on had black as part of their uniform colors. However, I am about to be on a team that wears red pants. Instead of buying new pants or a girdle, I was wondering if I could just throw a red shell on my black pants.

So, any ideas?

yes you can throw on a red shell over your pants!

I am currently wearing a blue shell (with gold stripes on the side) over my black RBK pants!
All you need to do is to get a proper sizing so as the cover fits over your pants smoothly. Comfort is important so you don't want too big or too tight of a shell!

need some help choosing here, but if you were choosing between girdles, would you get the vapor xxxx, the on90, or the easton synergy?

I would get the one90 girdle. I used pants from when I started playing at 4 until last season (13 years) when I got the one90 girdle. It is less protection, but they are so much more comfortable and barring any serious injury I will never buy pants again. My friend had the synergy girdle and they fall apart. We both bought girdles about the same time and he went through 3 synergy pants, then bought the one90 and I'm still using my first pair of one90's.

I am looking for the shell that covers the synergy girdle, not the regular synergy 500 pants.
I haven't seen any listed on Ebay in the last year...
