Why would you want to? It is designed to help you with concussions and be protective. You should return it and buy a new helmet that fits comfortably.

Where can I buy new pad inserts for a Bauer 5000 Hockey Helmet?

I have an older Bauer 5000 mens hockey helmet and the pads are starting to fall out of the inside and I lost one of them. I dont want to purchase a whole new helmet because its not in bad shape. Where can I buy just a pack of the pads to stick on the inside?

You can't because 1) it would open the company up to liability and 2) they would be far less likely to sell you another helmet if they offered replacement pads.

Your cheapest option - other than a new lid - is to hunt down a 5000 at a Play It Again Sports store and use that for spare parts. This assumes you don't mind using parts of a used helmet to repair your own.

Keep in mind, however, that going this route would void any and all certification on your helmet. Not sure that matters in your league/level, but something to be aware of, nonetheless.

Do ice hockey players usually wear helmets and pads during practice?

I'm pretty sure all the pads, mouth guards and helmets are mandatory for games, but I was wondering if that's mandatory for practice and if not if players wear them anyway.

In the NHL, it is not "mandatory" to wear full gear during practice. Sometimes teams will have bag skates where they just wear skates, jump suits gloves and sticks. Those are usually just fun practices that only happen once or twice a year though. There are no contact practices but players still wear full gear. In general, players usually wear all of their equipment during practice. maybe not mouthguards, those are annoying and most players don't use them during practices.

Wearing Ice Hockey Pads For Road Hockey?

My friends and I want to start up playing road hockey again but I have one issue. Since I play goalie I need to have equipment, I have a road hockey blocker, glove, and helmet...but my pads are now destroyed due to over-use. I have my ice hockey pads but they are way to expensive to risk using on the road...I was just wondering, would it make sense to find a used pair of ice hockey goalie pads and use them or should I just buy road hockey pads?

Ice hockey pads will be way heavier than road hockey pads. It will reduce your movement and quickness in goal, making you easier to beat. Road hockey pads are pretty cheap, go for some of those.
