Hockey Helmet Decals

I Just got a new goalie mask and I have been named captain of my high school team. The problem is that goalies can not actually wear the letter "C" on their jerseys by rule. So I wanted to get a sticker (preferably green) with the letter C to put on the chin of my goalie mask like Roberto Luongo does. If anybody can list a website or store that I could buy a sticker of the letter "C" that would be great.

I believe Roberto Luongo got his custom made, so you would have to custom make it some way. If none of these links work, then I would go to an all-hockey store and ask the manager or a worker there if they know of any place to get this kind of thing done. Some places may even put it on your helmet as part of the artwork, but for an extra fee. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question websites aren't always to reliable when it comes to custom making things, especially decals such as this. Hope this helps!

im trying to get the side logo on my hockey helmet to disappear. are there any substances or anything that will make the logo come off?

Do not use acetone or any other chemicals, they have the potential to ruin the integrity of the outer shell on the helmet. If you are talking about any of the major helmet manufacturers, they do not use stickers, they use a colored stamp to affix the logo probably for the purpose of keeping people from removing them.

Not sure if you noticed, but most of the NHL referees have the logos blacked out on their helmets. The answer is very simple, they all use black electrical tape. I am a USA Hockey and college official and I have done the same with both of my helmets. You can get different colors of electrical tape at radio shack so unless you have some bizarre color helmet such as the transparent CCMs, you should be able to find a match. When you apply the tape, you must use scissors or a straight razor to get smooth edges. The other thing that helps to make it as transparent as possible is to get some clear shoe polish. You can pick that up at any drug store or any other store such as that. After you apply the tape, polish the helmet up.

Here is a picture of me in my players helmet. If you get close enough, you can tell that there is tape there, but from any further than a few feet you cannot tell the difference. My referee helmet is even harder to tell because I polish it frequently and replace the tape from time to time.

Coach Scott brings up a great point. I cannot speak for Hockey Canada, it has been almost a decade since I have been there for hockey purposes, but most stickers or tape will pass under USA Hockey's rules.
