He wants a bag with a seperate spot for his helmet and a pocket for each of his skates. He said it would probably have to be a goalie bag to fit all his stuff. I don't know anything about hockey bags, so if someone could suggest a good site or a good brand that would be great! Thanks!
Is your husband a goalie? because that makes a huge difference...
As for the separate spot for his helmet, I don't know of any bags that have that except for this one: http://hockeymonkey.com/shock-doctor-hoc key-bag-dry.html
there is no separate pocket for skates, but it partitions them off from the rest of the equipment so they won't cut anything. I use skate guards as well...
If your husband is a goalie though, that won't work because of the way it's set up.
you could try something like this one... http://hockeymonkey.com/ccm-ebv10dlxwhee lbag40.html
just browse around here until you find something that could work :http://hockeymonkey.com/bags-wheel-all.h tml
But basically, there's no bad brand. there are just different styles.

My friend gave me a big bag of hockey goalie gear to use, and she hasnt opened the bag in 10 years. I opened it today and it had mold and a stinky nasty smell to it (smelled like puke) the leg pads are in excellent condition, no problems there. but the helmet, glove catcher and blocker, and chest pad stinks like hell! i did a test and soaked the catcher and blocker and helmet in water with downey overnight, then i'm air drying it right now. it kinda masks the smell but not really eliminates it. i dont want to get a disase or antyhing when wearing it. what should i do? i also sprayed everything down with lysol. Im in asia and there arent any professional gear cleaners here like in the US/Canada. I read online i could put it in a huge tub/trashcan and soak it in water and chlorine. not sure if it'll discolor the gear, though.
update: i just smelled the catcher, its half dry and half smells like downey and other half smells like puke.. HELP!
Don't know about the catcher and blocker, but you can wash anything else in the washing machine except helmet and skates. If the helmet is a big issue put it in the dishwasher. I would be reluctant to put anything leather in the washer like the catcher or blocker, but if it's desperate i guess you don't have a lot of options.

I bought my boyfriend an autographed hockey helmet with the teams signatures. The bag that it came shipped in caused some of the autographs to smudge because of the moisture. How do I keep it from getting worse? Can I spray something on it?
Thats awful that happened. Did you complain or anything? Maybe you could get a new one
I would put it in a glass case. I have a huge tennis ball that has signatures on it and that protects it well(and no one would be able to touch it and potentially smudge it)
I need to take my hockey gear on a plane with me. My airline keeps saying that if all the equipment is contained in a bag they will accept it free of charge as my sport equipment allowance. However all my pads, helmet and skates are in one bag and I have a seperate stick bag. If I somehow connect the two together will they accept it? Has anyone done this? The airline are not being helpful at all on the phone or via email. They keep refering me here, though it doesnt really answer the question. http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/pas sengerinformation/baggage/sportsequipmen t.jsp
Ya. It works. Get a seperate bag and have it checked. Don't take it as a carry-on.
