Is there much of a difference, and would it be legal to wear an ice hockey mask during a floorball game?
The ice hockey helmet is much heavier and safer. You could take an ice hockey helmet to a floor hockey game. No one ever complains if you wear too much equipment. You couldn't go the other way though because a floor hockey helmet would explode (and possibly your head with it) if you got nailed with a good slap-shot.

the best goalie mask as refer helmet is RBK (REEBOK) and Bauer itech was bought out by Bauer but Bauer still use the the itech made mask just uder different name. I go a (BAUER) MASK which is really good big space to see around and small size with the cage way better procations. RBK also have good one but it samilar to Bauer

Most eyeglass companies now make sports glasses that are anti-fog and form fitting and I have seen some guys wear them under masks. They are a bit pricey but if you cant (I cant) wear contacts then that is your best option. I wear my everyday glasses (I play forward) and they fit very easily under may cage but they are a Nike flex and I use an anti-fog spray that works well. The one problem is I have lost the puck on occasion (rare) trying to quickly look down or off to a side but just like wearing them everyday you adjust pretty quickly. My Nike glasses dont slide so if you dont want the sport glasses you can see what your local companies offer in the everyday wear in the sporting styles so you can dual wear them. Works for me.

Dude, cheap and helmet in the same sentence isn't a good combo. You should probably splurge and buy a nicer one, you know, to protect your head. I know many people like OBO for their GK equipment. I'm not a GK so I wouldn't know about the personalization, but I do know that some artists paint ice hockey goalie helmets, so they might be able to do a field hockey helmet.
In lieu of a "regular" full face BMX or bike helmet, will a hockey helmet with a face "cage" protect my jaw from injury, on a face-down fall from a bicycle?
They are both tested to different standards...
A goalie helmet is made to take different impacts than a bike helmet, and bike helmet testing is VERY rigorous. I would definetly recommend getting a full-faced bike helmet if you're worried about safety. This is not a good expense to skimp out on...
